Life Purpose

I exist to pursue the glory of God in all things by treasuring the pleasures of God; that whether by living or dying my life might be but a jewel in the crown of God’s glory in all the earth.

How will I accomplish this purpose?

In order to live out God’s purpose for my life:

I renounce all human inclinations to be self-dependent, self-reliant, and self-sufficient and commit myself to a life of God-dependence and a reliance on the all-sufficiency of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • Prayer
  • Faith
  • Word of God

I renounce all human inclinations that are bent on self-exaltation and pride that seek to exalt my human ego and commit myself to seek, to know, and to experience the humility and sufferings of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • Eternal Perspective
  • Empowerment of the Holy Spirit
  • Pursuit of God’s will through my life

I renounce the fear of man and all of its paralyzing effects on my life and commit myself to a humble and reverent fear of Almighty God.

  • Pursuit of the Holiness of God
  • Sharing the Gospel in freedom
  • My Future and how it effects my today’s

I renounce my dependency on forms of worldly entertainment as a means to joy, happiness, and contentment in this life and commit myself to the pursuit of discovering the pleasures of God that create true joy in this life and lasting fruit in the life to come.

  • Personal Habits
  • Spiritual Disciplines (reading, prayer, bible study, memory work)
  • Personal finances

I renounce all self-love that would cause me to pursue the vain pleasures and lusts of this world and to live with a distorted human perspective and commit myself to embracing a Biblical self-love that would seek the blessings and the pleasures of God for my life so God’s glory would be seen in and through me as He uses me to do His will.

  • Personal Ministry
  • Edification of Others
  • Personal Discipleship in the lives of others
  • Family Life
